Lisa Russo is a contemporary artist trained in the classical styles. Throughout her education she studied drawing, sculpture and painting and won numerous awards. She also has been featured in an extensive number of publications. Lisa has studied art and education and is currently finishing her second master’s degree in painting. She explores many mediums, techniques and styles only to come back to oil painting. As a current art teacher and former art professor she shares her knowledge and expertise with her students. She has shown throughout the United States and much of her work is in private, corporate and museum or public collections. She is most inspired by the figure in environments and strives to capture the sitter in a personal moment.
Lisa originated from New Jersey but has spent most of her life in Marion County, Florida. She has traveled extensively and enjoys studying art and art history with her family and friends. She resides in Summerfield, Florida, with her husband and two children. She teaches art at the school she attended in her childhood. She works daily in her studio and where one of her faithful dog sleeps while she paints at the easel.
