Patricia Teal

Patricia Teal is a local fine artist with a concentration in the medium of traditional watercolor. Patricia focuses on our world's beautiful flora and fauna and takes inspiration from the abundant Florida flora species.

Patricia attended the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga, on a portfolio scholarship. Out of college, she worked in fine art galleries in  Virginia . Patricia came back to Ocala in 2000 and began her marketing and public relations career with the Ocala Star-Banner (NYT). It was in 2010 that Patricia decided to leave the newspaper to concentrate on her art and family. Patricia has since gained collectors all over the United States and overseas.

Patricia is currently working on several new projects.

Florida

Nature and life. My art is inspired by something personal and intimate that I am experiencing. It may not seem so as I mainly paint flora and fauna, but to me, nature reflects humanity quite perfectly. As Ai Weiwei states, "Life is art. Art is life. I never separate it."
