After stepping away from the skill in high school, she returned to photography in college in hopes of honing her abilities while experimenting with a variety of subjects. During this process, Emily fell in love with the use of contrast which allowed her to photograph her subject in the midst of the spiritual background demonstrated in the extreme contrast of light and darkness.
