Morphin' Time

Morphin' Time, INSPIRED BY... Submission
Morphin' Time
The figure dominates this composition in a compelling stance and represents the metamorphosis of the human condition. In casual dress hunching over in front of a hallway, the figure exists in a domestic setting with ambient natural light. Drawing with charcoal, I utilize value over color and rely on the figure's distressed posture to convey growth over time.

I am interested in capturing transitional experiences and fleeting emotions within my figurative work. Overall, the idea of metamorphosis has inspired this figure drawing as I aim to capture formative change in a young adult's life.

My artwork is inspired by the idea of metamorphosis. The human form is an important component of my work, where the body's positions and contortions express a narrative. This drawing is a self-portrait that aims to capture the transformative stage from adolescence to adulthood.
